DAY6

Hadley’s Art Prize Residency

‘The Music Within’ moves to the studio

Took advantage of the loading zone at the studio to drop off the 5 boxes of ‘The Music Within’. Michelle elected to walk to Salamanca rather than sitting on the large box on the front seat.   In coming days she will be unpacked.

Definitely no need for the heater as yet. Tasmania is delivering some wonderfully clear sunny days – just a little chilly in the morning.

Artwork progress

Put another layer of tissue on the mannequin for Invizzy Lizzy – black hands are a creative hazard.

Have decided I need an ‘artwork hit list’ on the wall because I’m so close to ticking the box on this one.

Bottle top lily pads are looking good and growing slowly across the floor at the Old WoolStore. All of them have migrated to the unit and cover most of the loungeroom. While it looks finished they are only 40% sewn

I now have artwork across both venues – keeping me busy at night. I’m in my element.

Hadley’s Gallery Space visit

Spent an hour at Hadley’s gallery facetiming with Liz and trouble shooting display options, tricks and hurdles.

Time is flying

Chasing little things that have to be done. Meeting fabulous creatives at every turn, there is a definite vibrancy to Salamanca Arts Centre. Invites to upcoming exhibitions, one right outside my studio door.
