Daily Bling

Artist Statement:

New life to throw away items. Shifting the waste/recycling perspective. Repetition and labour intensive techniques surprise the viewer and demand closer inspection.

Each tab has been removed from a discarded aluminium can, sorted, polished and tooled to remove rough edges. Metallic thread binds the tabs together into a fabric of bling. An ever changing, light reflective surface which delights and puzzles the viewer.
